Infants (0-23 months)
Here at Jungle Junction we realize that there are many day care facilities that offer care to children of all ages, but very few offer and cater to the special care and attention needed just for infants and toddlers. A child's first few years of development are crucial for proper growth.
We believe that the best model for infants is a "home-like setting. Our program includes "just like home activities" such as music exploration, story time and sensory play. Our nursery provides two play yards excellent for napping or playing as well as a fun and interacting activity gym. The infant play area provides your baby with a secure environment that fosters exploration and the development of new skills such as rolling, crawling, grasping and reaching. Infants also participate in a variety of activities that stimulate language development and sensory awareness.
Activities for Infants include:
Gross Motor Development: gym mats, play tunnel
Fine Motor Development: balls, blocks, mealtime
Language Stimulation: repetition in familiar routines, music, introduction to books and basic signs
Cognitive Stimulation: exploration of toys and the environment, early problem solving through exploration
Sensory Play: mirror play, tummy time, art activities, mealtime
Above all infants at Jungle Junction are cared in the way the child would be cared for at home! Infants are fed when hungry, sleep when they are tired and hugged and cuddled when they are crying. Infants are never left to cry alone under my care. Our priority is to make the day care transition an easy one for you and your baby!
